Dyson owners
I am looking to buy a Dyson Vacuum and I am stuck between the Yellow DC 15 "The Ball" and the Purple DC15 "The Animal".
Which one is better and why? The Animal is $100 more.

Well if you have animals then the purple one is a must. Thats the one we have. Having a Dog and 2 cats its a lifesaver. My friend has the one with the ball and I did not like the motion of it. Other wise its the same vacuum just minus some attachments.

I have the Animal, and love it. Never any problems. Just my hair always gets wrapped around the brush on the bottom, ( I have been shedding like a dog) and I have to cut it out. I know its nasty but other than that its awesome.

I have the animal and love it. My only compliant is that it is heavy. We have a split with 3 floors so sometimes it can be a pain. Otherwise, all the attachments are great for the walls, ceiling fans, behind the couches etc.

Sorry, I only have the yellow one, not the animal. We don't have animals, but we love the vacuum. I don't know what the difference is between the two, maybe the attachments?
We find all the attachments are more then plenty to do the job. I even got all the pine needles from previous Christmases sucked up into the Dyson.

we have the yellow one, and my parents have the purple one.
the yellow one in my opinion works just as good as the purple one..
i have used both many times..
so if u can save some money, go for it.!

I have a Boxer and bought "the ball" last month and I am in love it! I can't believe how much hair it picks up. I kept complaining to DH that we have to get our area rug cleaned and the minute we vacuumed it it looked new. It also does the wood floors beautifully.

I have seen it listed as an excluded brand on coupons. Double checkto be sure.

We registered for the yellow one for our wedding, and my co-workers bought it for us, but said the yellow one was being discontinued for a new model coming out, so they bought us the purple animal one, and it comes with more cleaning tools for stairs, wood floors, ceiling, etc and we're much happier with it.

Maybe not Bed Bath and Beyond, tho. When we registered for it, they told us our guests could use the 20% coupon on it. Only way to know for sure - call their customer service desk and ask.
Macy's also sells them!

I got this DC-07 purple animal last month and I LOVE it!!! I don't know the difference between some of the models, though. Call Dyson (seriously) and they'll be happy to help. We have gotten amazing customer service from them thus far.

i have the animal - besides that it is great - i love that it is quiet! i tend to vaccum late @ night - and than i dont worry about waking anyone!

We have the Animal one, and it's great. We also used a 20% off BB&B coupon to get it, so you shouldn't have any trouble there. They'll also accept Linens & Things coupons, too.
