Ear ringing - experience or advice?
I woke up this morning with my right ear ringing pretty bad. I can tell that my hearing is compromised in the right ear (it's very foggy).
I THINK it might be because last night we went to see a play (it was very good) where I ended up bawling my eyes out at the end (I miss my grandparents, which was the point of the story, basically)... and I kept crying for a while after we got home. Then I woke up at 4:30 to go to the bathroom and before I could fall back to sleep, I was crying again with tears running down my face. I sleep on my right side (oops, but it's the only comfortable way!) so maybe all the fluids pooled in my right ear?
I just don't know what to do... should I give it a few hours and see if the ringing goes away?
I'll call the doctor in an hour or so if I can and ask the nurse or leave a message just in case this is something really serious. I just know some symptoms are considered really serious, so I was wondering if anyone has any experience like this since they've been PG?

Re: Ear ringing - experience or advice?
Aww Sandra Im sorry but I have no advice for you but Ive had ringing in my ear since being pg but never for long periods of time. I hope you feel better and it goes away. But def call the Dr if it doesnt go away in a few hours. Oh and btw sleeping on your right side is fine. My Dr said dont worry about it, sleep which ever way you can and makes you comfortable!!

Re: Ear ringing - experience or advice?
Thanks!!
The ringing went away around 10:30 or so, so it maybe lasted for about 3 hours... not great, but not terrible. I asked my dad about it (he's a doctor, but not an OB) and he said it's probably pregnancy related but not crying related. If it comes back, I'll call the doctor, but for now, I'm just going to chalk it up to one of those things.
Glad to hear it's ok to sleep on my right. My OB said my back is ok too so not to worry about it since I do wake up on my back a lot. It's so tough getting comfortable these days!!
