early bleeding
I woke up this morning bleeding. I'm only on CD17 and this is at least 12 days before my regular period SHOULD come. I've never experienced something like this before, since I'm usually pretty 'regular'. So I of course i called my doctor. She thinks it might be due to the fact that I took BC for a week this month. I had been off it for 3 months, and just started it up. However after only 6 days I stopped again, realizing that i didn't want to be on the pill. I suppose those six days may have screwed up my cycle. But to come 2 weeks early? Maybe that's why the OPK wouldn't give me a positive - i may not have ovulated this month
On the other hand, it could be implantation bleeding so I need to watch and see how long it lasts. My question is when to test. She said that either way I should take a Pregnancy test just to be sure. Do you think that means that i should wait until my actual period is due so not to risk getting a false negative? Or if this is implantation bleeding then i should test now? I'm not sure.
It's probably just a VERY early period. Strange because after I was on the pill for MONTHS and stopped, i had nothing like this happen. That's why I'm so skeptical. But oh well. At least it's nothing serious (as of now). I'll have to watch that it doesn't persist.
Has anybody ever experienced something like this???

Re: early bleeding
From what I remember, implantation bleeding was noly pink spotting. I would think this is something related to the BC issue.

Well I've been researching it like a maniac (lol). I'm just having a very hard time believing that it's my period. One reason is because this has never ever happened (coming early I mean). Also I only took BC for 6 days which I wouldn't think would be enough to affect me. But also because I don't FEEL like it's my period. Usually the first day is horrible and I'm just rolled up in a ball crying. I barely feel any cramps at all.
From what I read, Implantation Bleeding occurs 6 - 14 days after you Ovulate. It usually lasts between 3 - 5 days with light spotting, very light to where it only fills 1-2 pantyliners a day with either a light pink or a brownish color. However, it can differ for everyone. Some people have it heavier and some have it longer. It all depends on your body.
So I'll just have to wait it out. It could just be a weirdo period coming way too early, but it also could be a sign of pregnancy. I'm trying not to panic or get my hopes up. Just gonna have to see what happens. I don't like it tho. I hate 'not knowing' what's happening to me. YWIM?

Re: early bleeding
It sounds to me like the BC messed up your cycle. I would wait and see what happens in the next few days...it could be something like withdrawal bleed, right? Even though you only took BC for 6 days the first pills are pretty high in hormones. You may end up having to "start over" at your next period. ALthough really, I am no expert, so don't take what I say for certain!!!!!!!

Re: early bleeding
I have definately had early bleeding while messing with birth control. My ob had me take it straight through my AF one time because I was just going back on and I bled for no kidding - a month straight!

Re: early bleeding
Yeah, the more I think about it the more i feel that it's just the BC screwing with my cycle. I'm still going to do as the dr suggested and take a pregnancy test later on just to be sure. Hopefully i get back on track tho ASAP. I can't believe it would screw my body up when I only used it 6 days, meanwhile when i was on it for months and stopped it just went right back on schedule. Go figure.
