Early pregnancy sickness
I find the early in the AM I am very nauseous, then I am fine until around 2 then for the rest of the night I am sick, and more time than not the evening leads me to throwing up. I am only 7 weeks and I know I dont have it as bad as many but I am at a loss as to what to do to try to not feel so sick.
Was there a certain type of food or drink that made you more sick? Today I am trying only water because I am thinking maybe its the iced tea or lemonade that I drink at home. Did you eat more often, at a certain time of day, any little tricks you discovered would be helpful. What did you do to offset the m/s.
THANKS!!!

Re: Early pregnancy sickness
I found that bland food help me. I liked rice. Mine was more nausea though, so I'm sure other girls can help you more.

Re: Early pregnancy sickness
I found that I get sick on some of the things that people said worked for them (but like Kelly, I like rice).
One issue that it seems like a lot of people have in common--they get very nauseas from toothpaste. I tried a fruity flavor toothpaste and it is much better. I also considered trying children's toothpaste and I think that would have worked.
It sounds like you are more nauseas when you are tired. I have that, too. Just listen to your body and if you have the opportunity to sleep through any of it, then do that. \

Re: Early pregnancy sickness
I've been eating mostly bland food. Lots of breads, and fruit doesn't seem to bother me. Vegetables make me feel sick just by thinking about them, so I make myself eat some things (lettuce, green beans, and carrots are ok). I can't stomach much meat either, so I eat eggs, cheese, and yogurt.
Eating something bland does seem to help me if I'm sick, like crackers or plain pita.

My times were exactly the same. The toothpaste thing is key. I had to stop mouthwash also because I would wretch for 15 minutes afterwards. Ice pops help, lemon flavor was good. I couldn't eat rice but bagels helped me alot. Either with cheese on them or toasted with a little cream cheese. Orange Gatorade was a big help because for a while, I couldn't drink water and my stomach was always upset so the Gatorade helped replenish. I hope you feel better

Re: Early pregnancy sickness
I learned a lot of things that helped from posts on this board - ginger ale, saltine crackers and salt bagels were my best friends! Hang in there, it does get better
Oh and I forgot to add - soup was all I could eat for many meals.
