East Islip girls - catholic church help pls
DH and I are buying a house in East Islip and was wondering if anyone can tell me about the catholic churches...I see St Marys listed - anyone go there? Are there any others? Im hoping to find one that is a little more relaxed then my old parish, and good for children, since we want to start taking DD (she is 18 mths but doesnt sit still for anything!)..tia

St. Patrick's in Bay Shore. It's a HUGE parish but they have tons of family masses scheduled on the weekends.

I used to live in Islip, and your options are St. Mary's or St. Pat's. St. Mary's is smaller, and I'd probably go there out of convenience since it is closer to you.

St. Mary's will be fine. They have a couple masses in the parish center/school which are more relaxed and child oriented so you should be fine.
It's a very pretty church too...

I live in Islip and we're in the catchment area for St. Mary's but we joined St. Patrick's in Bay Shore, got married there and attend their Masses.
