East meadow or Clarke high school

It looks like they are rated the same on greatschools.org but someone from the area told me Clarke was better than EM just wondering if anyone has experience with those two high schools

East meadow or Clarke high school

I graduated from EMHS about 10 years ago and had an absolutely fantastic experience. My parents still live in East Meadow and my brother is a teacher and a coach in the district.

I've heard that the school has changed a bit in terms of student population, but that its still considered a good school -- not the best on the island, but definitely far from being the worst.

If I had to choose, I think I would prefer to send my kids to Clarke High School. It's smaller in size and still has a great, competitive athletic program. Not that this matters in terms of educational quality, but Clarke's building and facilities are newer. Many of the areas that feed into Clarke are really nice -- especially around the Salisbury area.

With that being said, I don't think you could go wrong with either!

My mom works at Clarke. She says they're both about the same.

Clarke is not just a HS though. It is also a middle school.

I went to clarke. Main difference is size and there are more elementary school that feed into em then Clarke. Em did offer some classes that Clarke didn't, ex. Marine biology
