Easter Basket alternatives, any ideas?
Ok, now DS is only one, but he received 4 Easter Baskets last year. I'm all about being festive, but I really don't need the actual "baskets". I ended up selling a batch and just keeping the one with his name on it.
Now its Easter again and my MIL bought him two baskets, my Mom is getting a sand pail one. I'd throw out cheap ones, but of course my MIL's are fabric ones. I really really don't need more "storage" stuff.
What other things that are useful could the "easter bunny" bring DS's stuff in? Looking for ideas. No more baskets, please.
Thanks!

The stores have tons of beach pails and shovels that would also work

they have some really cute recyclable bags now (i think disney has some), and even supermarket ones are cute'ish....maybe this way you can use them and get credit at the supermarket for bringing your bag (and you can teach a lesson about recycling)???

Re: Easter Basket alternatives, any ideas?
DD got 4 baskets last year too. Two of them were foam-like baskets and we use them to corral her little animals and cars. When she's all done with them, we just drop them in her toybox with the toys inside it.
If your DS is in the market for a dump truck or wagon, they could use that to put the goodies in. Or a tricycle with a basket?

DD's "basket" last year was a wagon for outside that she could pull all over.

We try to use the same basket year over year. They leave the basket out with colored eggs in it.. and the bunny takes the eggs and fills the basket.
