Easter Gift Question
Do you give Easter gifts to your nieces/nephews/Godchildren?
I'm not sure what to do this year. With the baby coming - I'm wondering if it's worth it to keep doing or just let it go. I have no idea if I should be doing something for them or not.

Re: Easter Gift Question
I'd just do a small basket w/ candy and a stuffed animal. I"m assuming they're small children. If they're too old for that, just skip it!

Re: Easter Gift Question
I do but only for nephews (as that is all I have right now). I get them little items for a basket like balls, pj's, books & some juice boxes!!!

Re: Easter Gift Question
I used to go crazy for all holidays - but honestly now there are just too many kids to do it (we have 13 in the family)
Maybe if you want to do something small - get them each a little bag of candy or a stuffed bunny?!

Re: Easter Gift Question
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I went to Target this weekend with the intention of making baskets - but only two - one for goddaughter and her siblings and one for godson who is our nephew and his sisters. But is starts to add up and DH flipped. He says we shouldn't do anything but I am so confused.

Re: Easter Gift Question
I do Easter bags for 12 kids DH used to have a heartattack at the amount of money I spent so I went to AC Moore and got 12 white craft bags with handles, some construction paper and stickers, made cute little bags and filled them with candy and little toys from Oriental Trading.
Their stuff is sold in bulk so a dozen chocolate bunnies only cost me like $5.00.

Re: Easter Gift Question
I am doing the baskets with small gifts.....most purchased at target (in the $1 section...good stuff) with some books and goodies.
I also feel the exact SAME way...feeling very unappreciated for what we do with our nephews but I consider it the parents fault...not the kids.

Re: Easter Gift Question
i do for 7 kids not including my own. I usually do a beach theme-a pail and bucket w/ a bathing suit/beach toys...or a basket w/an age appropriate dvd and pjs& some candy.

Re: Easter Gift Question
I only have two neices
(well now 3 ) <~~~~~~~~
I got them each a basket, but I don't think I'm going to go too crazy this year. Maybe just get them a chocolate bunny or something. Thats all I used to get when I was younger.

Re: Easter Gift Question
I usually do somehting small and cute for my goddaughter. She is 11 now and is getting so grown-up. Usually a collector book or something to decorate her room.
I have a nephew this easter...so I want to get him something cute too.
BUT you are right...everything does add up.

Re: Easter Gift Question
I used to do stuffed animals or baskets when they were smaller. I didn't always see all the kids on the holiday, though, so now I send $5-10 in a card. They get very excited to get mail addressed to them and to get money. It's a lot easier and everyone is happy.
