Easy Apple Recipes
Hi there! We went apple picking and have tons of yummy apples. Aside from baked apples and applesauce, what can I do with the apples? Please post recipes if you can. THANKS

These cooked apples are easy and delicious. They would be good over ham or chicken for dinner. or a side dish.
Also apple pies and apple crumbles.

Re: Easy Apple Recipes
I do apples, onions and chicken sausage. I also do pork chops cooked in apples, onions, and a little whole grain mustard. Last week I made braised cabbage with apples, onions, and bacon.

Made this cobbler last weekend and it was a big hit. It's great because it uses up lots of apples. I just used whatever kinds we picked.

Easy Apple Recipes
I just made this one up the other day:
Grease a bundt pan, preheat oven to 350
Peel and core mixed apples, slice into medium-thick slices. Toss with 2 tablespoons of sugar, some cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg (a good 3-4 cups)
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened 1 cup sugar 3 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 cup milk 2 1/2 cups flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cinnamon
Sift together the dry ingredients, set aside. Beat the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in some milk, adding alternately with the dry ingredients, ending with flour. Fold in the apples (mixture will be hard to handle and thick- ok) Pour/spoon into bundt pan and smooth top with a spatula. Bake for about 65-70 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. You can ice it or just dust with confectioner's sugar.
ETA: you can use any fruit or spices with this and it comes out great. any pan, too
