my favorite app.....dates wrapped in bacon
-take a date and stuff an almond into it. cut pieces of uncooked bacon in half. wrap the bacon around the date and secure with a toothpick. sprinkle with brown sugar. bake at 350 for about 15-20 min til sugar is bubbly. if they don't brown well enough (sometimes they do, sometimes they don't) i will turn the broiler on for 5 minutes.

Baby gouda wrapped in puffed pastry. - it's so easy. Let the gouda come to room temperature, wrap it up in the puffed pastry and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or so until the pastry is all golden brown. It's yummy. The gouda gets all melty.

Meat Candy: Slice bacon strips in half. Wrap around a Hilshire Farm Lil Smokie. Lay seam side down on a baking sheet. Whisk together a glaze of equal parts white sugar, brown sugar and water. Drizzle over Smokies and bake at 375 till browned and glazed.
White Pizza Dip: Mix 1 container each of ricotta cheese and sour cream w/1 packet Lipton Alfredo sauce mix. Top w/mozz cheese and bake at 425 till bubbly. Serve w/garlic crostini.
French Onion Tartlets: Caramelize 1 pound of diced onions in butter, get them very browned and golden. Cut rounds from refrigerated pie crust (2 inch rounds). Press into mini cupcake pan. Beat togehter 1/3 cup heavy cream, 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup mix and 3 eggs. Scoop about 1 tsp of onions into the tarts, pour a little of the egg mixture on top, then top w/grated monterey jack cheese. Bake at 400 till browned and bubbly.

this is heaven in a mouthful.
I feel like this is pretty easy
crisp up slices of pancetta or proscuitto in the oven.
top each little slice with a teaspoon of goat cheese and a slice of fresh fig or a slice of a plump and juicy dried one.
