Easy Breakfast Bake
I'm not much of a cook at all. DH does more than me.
Anyway, we're hosting a breakfast this Sunday for a bunch of friends and their kids. Thinking of doing:
bagels tuna/egg salad/etc cream cheeses pick up some pasteries juice/coffee mimosas
I wanted to do an easy baked dish. DH mentioned making pancakes, but I thought a bake would be better so he can hang out instead of sitting in the kitchen. Very casual and we have young kids so we'd be watching them, eating, etc.
any other ideas that's easy? A different fun drink to make too?

Make this! So good!!
Baked French Toast
I made it for the holidays with chocolate chip challah bread and added some bananas in between the layers. It's super easy to make and so good!

Re: Easy Breakfast Bake
How about a fritata? I would look on foodnetwork.com to find one. I know Ina Garten and Giada DeLourentis (spelling) make them often. I remember Ina making a lox and dill one on one episode. It looked really good except I like neither . You could also make some muffins. I have a really good recipe for bran muffins that really moist and actually use raisin bran cereal if you want it. They are super easy and last a few days if you put them in an air tight container. I wouldn't do pancakes because those get cold to fast.

Yeah, that's why we didn't want to do pancakes and everyone can't eat it at once. You're always waiting.
Meant to ask where you get your bagels? We're bagel snobs... only York Town Bagels for us.

Re: Easy Breakfast Bake
I think a bake would be a great idea that way you can all eat together.
Here is a recipe that I've made before. It's pretty yummy!
I usually prepare mine the night before I cook it.
Ingredients: 1 Sausage Log (use 2 of the Zesty Bob Evans) You can also use other types of meat (i.e. bacon, ham) 8 Eggs 12 Slices of bread ripped up (stale is best) 4 Cups shredded cheese (I used cheddar) 4 Cups of milk 1 Tablespoon of powdered mustard 2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce Salt and Pepper (Few shakes of each)
The night before: 1. Cook the meat. 2. Mix in a large bowl the 8 eggs, 4 cups of mile, tablespoon of powdered mustard, 2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce and the salt and pepper. 3. In a 9 x 13 pan layer the following: 6 ripped up slices of bread, 2 cups of cheese, 1/2 cup of meat. Repeat again, 6 ripped up slices of bread, 2 cups of cheese and the rest of the meet. 4. Pour the egg mixture on top. Cover and store in fridge.
In the morning, preheat overn to 350 degrees. Cook the mixture for one hour.

I get York Town if it is only for 4 bagels with stuff on them and we are going out somewhere. Otherwise we have found that best to be so far, on 520 and 79 in the shopping center where Wawa is. I forgot the name of the place. LaRosa chicken is in there too. I am not sure if you are keep kosher or not, but if you don't they make egg sandwiches that are really good. We used to go to Bagel world, but the bagels seem so bland.
