Ebay account stolen?

Someone must have hacked into my ebay account--I have had 100 Ipods listed as selling under my account within the past hour. Has this happened to anyone? Does this mean they have access to PayPal? I am trying to contact their LiveChat customer service but it is horrible!

I've never had that happen to me, but def. try contacting ebay. There is an 800 number, let me try and find it.

Re: Ebay account stolen?

Yes, someone got into my acct one time and bought an engagement ring Chat Icon
At the time, DH & I were not engaged yet - so I took it as a sign Chat Icon
It was a PITA to deal with, but after filing the complaint with ebay, and my credit card company, it got straightened out.

Re: Ebay account stolen?

In the mean time, take all the ads down and CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD.

Change your password AND the email address associated with Pay Pal, too.

Keep calling Ebay and MAKE them listen to you.

ETA - If someone has already bid on the ipod, send them a message explaining the situation and then take down the ads. If you cannot take down the ads, change the wording / classification / title to explain that these were posted by someone who stole your account and apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm so sorry this happened to you!

I honestly don't get why someone would steal your eBay user name to list things Chat Icon

do you have a different password for paypal? I would be more concerned about that!

DON"T LET HIM. BE STRONG. Keep hitting zero. I've gotten to a live person before, you can too. Tell the operator that you need to speak to a supervisor ASAP. Ask for the operators name so you can report him after the fact. I'm in sales, be tougher!!!

Re: Ebay account stolen?

Yes it happened to me. What a pain in the azz.

Ebay will lock your account. You will have to change your password for ebay, paypal, and your email accounts.
