Ebay question: Buy it now or best offer?
Have you ever used the "Best Offer" feature? Do you totally lowball the seller? How do you figure out what to offer?

I have sold things this way and I have had a lot of success with it. some offers were rediculously low, but I always sold the items for what I wanted.
I would start by offering 20% less than asking, you can always make another and higher offer if its rejected, if you want to.

depends upon how badly you want it.
I've used best offer a couple times, yet never had it accepted (or even responded to  )
buy it now is the best option if its a difficult to find item.... otherwise stalk the item and bid within the last minute

I sell everything this way
I can tell you that I would not accept an offer that was a low ball
I do normally counter offer- but keep in mind you get 3 offers- and that's it
I have room to negotiate- but I will often decline an insulting offer
I still sell the item for what I want to sell it for- and sellers can get multiple offers at the same time- and get other offers while counter offers are being considered

no- you can MAKE 3 offers to a seller
a seller can get as many offers that are made

I've bought things this way and have done well.
I have sold things this way also and got some ridculous offers. After counteroffering though it usually works out well.
