Ebay question (sorry)!
Do you ship everything you sell on ebay with a "tracking number"?
I was being cheap and didn't want to pay the extra $$$ to track a pair of shoes that I sold for $5.00. Now the seller is saying they never received them.
Do I have any other options than to credit her back the $$$? Should I credit her back the entire amount, even shipping?

Re: Ebay question (sorry)!
How long ago did you ship it? It usually takes longer when you ship usps.
Do you have any disclaimers on your ad about that method of shipping? I usually ship fedex (because I have a biz account with them so it comes out cheaper), but some people rather have usps priority mail and I advise them to pay for the delivery confirmation, so that if I ship it to them and it gets lost, I'm not responsible.

I shipped on July 23rd.
Priority Mail usually takes 2-3 business days.
I don't have any disclaimers on my page. Lesson learned. Pay for tracking.
ETA: They weren't returned to me though, so if I shipped them, and they were "stolen" off of her porch, am I responsible?

I'm sorry!
Edited to respond to your question.
You can argue that that may have happened, but you do not have proof of delivery. Had you had a delivery confirmation from the post office (some sign off when they leave it on the porch) and the item was never received personally, then it would be an issue with the post office.

Re: Ebay question (sorry)!
I don't have any advice to help you out this time, but I learned that when you print shipping labels through Paypal, you get free tracking when you use Priority Mail. It's great...I find that very few people DON'T use Paypal, so that might be a good option for you in the future.
