eBay seller - a question...
I sold something to a woman in CA last week. I shipped it via UPS last Friday and provided the buyer with the tracking info. the ETA was yesterday, and it was delivered.
I got an email from her last night asking me for the ETA, 2 hours after it was delivered I looked up the tracking info and it says "left on porch". I responded to her and said I really hope that the UPS delivery guy left the package out of sight and gave her the track # again. I haven't heard back from her, but I am worried! This was a pretty expensive item. and she did not pay the extra $ for insurance (I made it optional). UPS only covers $100, which is way less than what she paid.
I am not liable am I?

Re: eBay seller - a question...
Hmmm... I always thought once it's left on the porch the customer is liable. Especially if the UPS person wrote, "left on porch".
Ugh. This is why I don't buy things from Ebay. I can't bring myself to deal with the occasional annoyance like this.
I hope it works out!!!

Re: eBay seller - a question...
I dont think you are responsible because the tracking shows that it was delivered and that it was left on porch Scott
