Ebayers- I have a question - I am PIZZED!!! - UPDATE
So, I just lost an auction - in the last 4 seconds. No one touched it since last night. It's such BS. This has happened to me before too. Like this isn't a friend of the seller?
I find it hard to believe that someone coincidently came across the product in the last friggin 10 seconds...
I KNEW this was going to happen!!!
UPDATE: Well - wouldn't you know...I just got a second chance notice on the watch at a buy it now price of my last bid (which was pretty low) - guess the winner backed out or they just sold me a duplicate

That would piss me off too! I haven't had that happen in a while. It might be some lame-o who waited for the last few seconds to get it... I have been that lame-o on some occasions.

People watch the item and bid in the last few seconds. Alot of people do this.

I see that happening when I sell -- there will be no bids or just one on an item. Then BAM! 4 bids in the last minute. I like it as a seller but it's frustrating on the buying end.

yeah people do that... if they bid earlier, you;ll just counter bid.. so they lurker to get the bid in at the last possible moment.
there is a program out there, my friend uses... kind of like a snyper... it places your bid at the last moment... she never loses

Their server will 'snipe' eBay just a few seconds before the auction ends.

i dont know try google... another thing that has always worked for me.. .and I was an ebay addict...
try to find an item that is ending when you can be logged on to ebay... don't place any bids... (it will just drive up the cost of the auction)
you need to be really quick at hitting the refresh button... and at around 15 secs left... bid an amt that you think is much higher than the previous bidder... chances are their maximum bid is only 1-19 bucks over the current price...
remember the key is refresh, refresah refresh... dont wait fir the email notifications...

It happens all the time. That's the hottest bidding time because if people bid too early that's what drives up the price of the product. Sorry.

I've seen that happen a LOT! I bought something on there years ago and lost the auction at the last minute. about an hour later I got an email from the seller offering the item to me for $10 above my last bid, which was still a great price. So I bought it. it's ALL a game! especially with popular/name brand items.

I have sold stuff and the winning bidder e-mailed me once right after the bid ended saying he had entered the wrong price and didn't want the item, so I offered it to the second highest bidder and they took it.
