Eckerd Diapers - link to rash...
DS has been fighting the worst diaper rashes lately!
We went to the ped last week and althought the rash was bad - he was unable to identify it 100% as being fungal... He gave us the cream anyways and it improved - we used it a few days post improvement at the peds recommendation to kill whatever fungus there might be lingering. He was better over the weekend and then just yesterday WHAM horrible rash again - SCREAMING diaper changes.
MAMA IT HURTS HURTS HURTS... He learned to say this last time i just want to cry.
I went to Target today and bought a big box of huggies again.
I don't know if there is any link to the Eckerd diapers, but I remember someone had posted on here about an adverse reaction that their child had...
DS drinks a TON of liquids so we are constantly changing his wet diapers to prevent leaks (every 1 1/2 hrs at the most) - so he is not sitting wet which would cause a rash.
Any ideas...
I mayyy have a ton of Eckerd diapers i don't need UGHHHH

Did you buy the supreme or ultra thins? I have the supreme and haven't had any rash issues. Playskool brand give her a rash though.

We've been using them for weeks and weeks with no problems, but that doesn't mean that it isn't bothering him. Sorry to hear he's getting bad rashes

We use the Eckerd's diapers and haven't had problems with any of them. We have the Ultrathins and before that we were using Pampers.

How terrible! We used a few boxes of the Eckerd diapers here without incident. We've been back to Pampers Baby Dry for awhile now - and just this week, DD has a minor rash. You can never tell, I guess. I hope he's better soon!

Ella has gotten a rash from the eckerd diapers, but she gets its on her belly (odd, I know).
She also leaks out of them sometimes.
I used a few of the packages and now I'm back to pampers. I plan to give the rest of unopened packages away to a shelter. I'm glad I didn't buy too many.

I've been using them for awhile and no problems here, thank goodness. Is it only with Eckerd? Bc this kind of weather is so notorious for fungal infections in tight damp places (I know that sounds pervy but you know what I mean )

Re: Eckerd Diapers - link to rash...
We haven't had any problems with the Eckerd diapers, however we just tried the sunscreen on DD this past weekend and she had a HORRIBE illergic reaction to it - I thought that we were going to have to run to the emergency room. She looked like she had poison ivy on half her face and her eyes swelled up.
This is the first time we used sunscreen, so I am not sure if it was because it was the Eckerd brand or if she just has problems with sunscreen.

We have been using both types of Eckerd diapers. At first I felt they were flimsy next to huggies, but now I am used to them. He never leaks, no rashes, I am happy with them. Thank god no rashes, because we have so many it doubles as insulation in our attic!

Actually, Eckerds and other generics are the ONLY diapers that haven't given Steven an allergic reaction. He was always so red until we started to use these. now, I buy all the generics and he has no more redness.

Re: Eckerd Diapers - link to rash...
I went through almost a month of that. DS would get a bad rash (to the point of bleeding) then I got it to go away then a day or two of it being clear and same thing. I am also neurotic about changing diapers. I finally asked the ped and she said it is common at this age (DS is 16 months) because they are on table food and drinking now and to put on Triple Paste at every diaper change even if he has no rash and we have been rash free for 2 weeks now. A lot of foods are very acidic and we might not know which ones so when your DC urinates it is eating at his skin. The ped said I need to be using some sort of skin protectent on him now and for the first year I never used anything and only got 2 rashes because of a reaction to food when I introduced baby food and that was it.
It also could be the diaper the though.

Considering we need to reinsulate our attic and I have over 70 packages of Eckerds... I never thought of that
Thank God they don't break out from them.
AGain, I can't thank Rachel enough for originally posting the sale. WE saved about over $500 in diapers w/ that sale.
