Eczema or rash HELP please

DS has bumps on the bridge of his nose, upper lip and chin. they are likd flesh colored and they started with one or two and now they have spread so its pretty noticable. I went to the ped and he said its either slight eczema or a rash from his inhaler thing. He gave me a perscription for Hydrocortozine 2.5% but i dont want to use that unless really necessary. It dosent seem to itch him and right now we are using hydrocortozone .5% and vasaliine. I think i'll get aquafore and 1% hydrocortozine before i use the other. I dont know if its eczema and he's had enough perscriptions!!! I use all aveeno products. Is there anything, anything else i can do. ANy advice would be appriciated!!!

If you want to try aquafor, then go ahead. But in all honesty, I would just use the cream you were prescribed.

THank you..The pharmacist got me nervous, he said that's very strong for such a little guy (the 2.5% cream)..I'll get it filled and see what happens. Thank you again!!

We're dealing with eczema as well. I have been using Eucerin on his arms and legs and Aquaphor on his face, but since he is getting a little chubby, he has patches in the creases of his arm and leg that are very raw.

I went to the doc last week and she told me to keep doing what I was doing, but to use the 0.5% hydrocortizone cream in the creases for about a week and it should clear it up. I agree with you that I would use the lower percentage creams first before using the prescription strength. I don't know that the eczema will really go away completely until DS grows out of it, so I am just trying to keep him lotioned up and itch free. I had it as a kid and grew out of it eventually.
