We have it in the lighter wood..a little different as we got it in 2005 but still the same thing.
We liked it, I didnt LOVE it though.. DD was a big baby and even with the bassinet locked in place it still moved when she moved which sometimes woke her up.
ETA: the newer one might be made a little better so I would check that out.

I borrowed the older version of a friend. I liked it well enough, but if I had to do it over, I wouldn't get a bassinet at all, I would have just used the PNP bassinet. We only ended up using it for 8 weeks - and then had to keep it in our room for a while even after he was out of it because we were in an apt.
I did like the shelf on the bottom. I had a plastic storage container down there where I would keep all the sheets, the swaddle mes and receiving blankets.
