EEW TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!!!
So I am laying in bed next to DH, lights out TV on. Out of the corner of my eye I see this dark shadow on his back. I turn my light on and there is this huge TICK sticking out of his back. What a fiasco, first trying to wake him up, then I get him into the bathroom and I pull the body out with tweezers. But the head was STUCK, I mean it had a grip. Sooo I ran all the way down the block to my car, which was pretty far thanks to the flooding and I run to 7-11 to get vaseline. Come back, have to wake him up again, back into the bathroom and I worked on that thing for a good 20 minutes, getting most of it out. Poor DH, I was poking him with burning needles, tweezers, but thankfully it is out. I wiped it with rubbing alcohol. Now it is really red and we'll watch for infection and he is in some pain from the digging. But I am sooo skeeved. I don't even want to sleep in the same bed as him. YUCK!!!!

I applaud you...i couldn't have done that. I probably would have passed out.
Is your cat and outdoor cat? Maybe you should check it to make sure there aren't any ?

I actually have to check my DH so he doesn't spread it on to th cats. He is the one that was in the woods.
So I didn't do as good as I thought. There is still a piece in there this morning, I am assuming the head, but that stinker has such a grasp on his skin it just won't give. He may have to go to the doctor after work, although he is supper stubborn and probably won't. I guess I'll just have to dig myself some more when he gets home to try and get this darn thing out. I just feel like I am torturing him.
