Egg Nog
If anyone is interested in making homemade egg nog for the holidays here is a good recipe
12 large egg yolks 1 1/2 cups superfine sugar 4 cups milk 6 cups well chilled heavy cream 2 cups Bourbon or to taste 1 cup dark rum or to taste 12 large egg whites at room temperature a pinch of cream of tartar nutmeg to taste
In a large bowl with an electric mixer beat the yolks until they are pale, beat in the sugar, a little at time, and beat the mixture until it is thick and pale. Beat in the milk and 4 cups of the cream and stir in the bourbon and rum. the eggnog may be prepared to this point and kept covered and chilled overnight. Just before serving, in a bowl beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they are frothy, add the cream of tartar, and beat until they hold soft peaks. In a punch bowl fold the whites into the mixture. In another bowl beat the remaining 2 cups of cream until it holds soft peaks and fold into the eggnog. Sprinkle with nutmeg, drink, pass out.

Wait...you mean you just don't BUY it in the bottle at the supermarket! Oh my...sounds like a lot of work...but REALLY yummy sounding!
