Egg Retrieval is tomorrow! - update
This is my first IVF, and tomorrow is finally the big day I've been preparing for. Im so nervous but excited to just get it over with and move onto the next step!
We're back! It wasnt as bad as i thought itwould be. They retrieved 15!  Thanks for the well wishes!

That's great, Meghan! If you wouldn't mind telling me, what exactly does the process entail? Someone I know had a retrieval and she said it hurt worse than anything she'd ever been through--which of course scared the living **** outta me!

Haha! For me, it certainly isnt the worst thing I've ever been through. I thought this was easier than the HSG (probably because I was unconscious for this one! )
We arrived about an hour early, they started me with an IV, took my blood pressure, pulse, etc. They grabbed my husband, he went and gave his sample, and then he came and sat with me.
Then, it was my turn and I walked into the procedure room, laid down, talked to the embryologist, and went to sleep.
I woke up in the recovery room, with cramping, asked when I could take some Tylenol, which they gave me right away. I came home, ate something small, and went to sleep. I had a prescription of Vicodin which I ended up not even taking since the Tylenol at least took the edge off and I dont like how I feel when I take Vicodin.
I thought for sure I'd be stocking up on whatever drugs I could, but I really didnt need it. Its about 7 hours later now and Im just sitting on the couch snoozing on and off.
I was going to just FM this to you, but I figured I'd put it here since I know I read everything I can about real-life experiences with this stuff!
