Eggplant?
Someone always suggests eggplant to start up labor - eggplant parm?
Wasn't there a specific restaurant or recipe?
I'm ready to start induction foods : ) Spicy never worked for me in the past.

Eggplant?
I had eggplant parm the night before my water broke. Not intentionally, was at a graduation dinner. My water broke at 4:30 AM. I am sure it was coincidental lol but doesn't hurt to try!
I was however drinking red raspberry leaf tea consistently hoping it would help start labor bc I wanted a VBAC and needed to go into labor naturally if I wanted a shot at it. Might want to look into it.

Thanks, I have the tea bags and some tea leaf too. I don't think it helped with contractions for my 1st two. But, I haven't had it much this time, so maybe it will get me going since my body isn't used to it.

With DS#1 I was over a week late & I tried everything, eggplant, pineapple, lots of walking, you name it. Nothing worked.
I have heard of good results from using a breast pump because supposedly pumping releases the hormones that can start labor. If I'd gone late with DS#2 I had planned to try it, but I went into labor on the due date so never got a chance to try it.

Thank you! I was hoping it was a local restaurant. I tried takeout from a local place tonight. Maybe I'll try the recipe this weekend if I still need it.

 Neither eggplants worked for me. Neither did walking a zillion miles a day or eating spicy foods.

If eggplant actually put you in to labor you wouldn't be allowed to eat it until you are full term for fear of going into pre term labor.
Anyone who went into labor after eating eggplant was just a pure coincidence.

Thanks everyone! I had the baby the morning after my 2nd eggplant dinner. I was also snacking on pineapple. It probably didn't help, but it was delicious.
