EI Evaluation
Does anyone know what the rules are regarding evals. If I get my son evaluated and he does not qualify, what is the waiting period if any to get his re-evaluated.
Thanks

I believe they recommend 6 months.

Re: EI Evaluation
I am not sure what the rules are.. but Ryan was evaluated at 21 months for his speech delay. He didn't qualify, and I was told by the evaluators that if no progress by his 2nd birthday, to call them back to have another eval. At that time, he did qualify.

Re: EI Evaluation
i think they prefer waiting 6 months. but its not a hard and fast rule. i had my dd evaled at 18 months. she missed the cut offs.. the evaluators told me if she doesn't show progress by 21 months to call and request a speech only eval, not the full extensive version. and she would probably qualify on the 21 month version of the testing. bt if she is showing progress, to wait until she is 2, if she's not caught up yet.
