Has anyone been following this Ellen debacle?
Seems her Be Kind to One Another motto didn't count for the work place

More and more people (celebrities and ex-employees) are coming out and backing these stories of her not being nice behind the scenes, her crazy demands and a toxic work environment. I believe one of the producers was already let go. She put out a statement over the weekend but sounds like she was passing the buck.

I liked her. But thought she was getting too annoying with all her spin off shows. They were all the same. Sometimes the laughter seemed forced and they may have been using a laugh / applauses track.

Wonder what will happen with the show.

Apparently Leah Thompson and Brad Garrett came out recently saying that it's all true.

I follow Crazy Days and Crazy Nights - and he's talked about how awful Ellen is for years. So it's not a surprise to me, but stinks that it's taken this long for people to finally report it.

This reminds me of Rosie O'Donnell back in the day.

I remember watching her talk show and thinking she must be so much fun to work with.

My friend who works on broadway worked with her on a show and she was not nice at all. At the time I was so surprised. But now, totally believe it.

It's sad because she seems so awesome and so much fun! I used to work with celebrities, and of course some were demanding or difficult but overall, people were nice and just people. Some people are so quick to claim that so-and-so is a b!t6h when to others, they aren't. What's worrisome is that so many are coming to confirm that Ellen is

She seems to be very condescending in interviews at the expense of the guest at times...

I've heard of this rumor for a while now. The fact that celebrities are coming out and confirming how horrible she is says a lot IMO.

i remember watching her (Ellen) in an interview a while back when she said that her motto of being nice has gotten her in trouble when she has emotional swings like everyone else. she said that she knows that no one can be nice all the time, but the fact that she's promoted that philosophy bites her in the ass when she shows any other emotion.

No one can be happy and nice all the time. But the stories about her aren't just her having a bad day. It's about her being constantly mean and generally being a bad place to work.

I'm glad people have finally spoken up about it. No one should be in a horrible work environment. I worked for a horrible person for almost 2 years, and I still have PTSD and nightmares - even though I quit a year ago.

I didn't know this was news. I remember hearing this years ago. And I don't know anyone who worked with her directly so I'm not talking about some insider info.

I think sometimes we think we "know" celebrities based on some persona we see but really we don't.
