Elmo character for 1st birthday party
Can you recommend the co/person who came to your DC's 1st birthday party dressed as Elmo? We aren't having kids really, just my DD and 2 other kids. She loves Elmo...I really just want someone to show up, take a few pictures and leave.
I contacted 3 places and my quotes are all over the place, mostly high.
The first place wanted $350 for 30 minutes, which is just crazy. Clearly I'm in the wrong industry.
The second place was very professional and I will likely use them in the future...but it was 30 minutes of elmo dancing with the kids, etc. Geared more towards parties with lots of kids, for $175.
The third quote was from a guy off of Craig's List for $85. I'm worried that the Craig's List guy would be unrealiable though.
Any recommendations and price expectations would help. Am I way off on thinking the first two are pricey?

she wasn't Elmo for my party, she was a clown but I am almost positive she does characters as well. I paid $175 for an hour. She was AMAZING - and I have recommended her to several people and she has been just as good at the other parties too
