Emailing resume
Do you put your cover letter in the body of the email or as an attachment like the resume?

I've always done it as an attachment.

Re: Emailing resume
an attachment unless the job ad requested otherwise (sometimes they've asked for it to go in the email, sometimes in the email and as an attachment, etc.)

Re: Emailing resume
As an attachment, so that it does not mess up the formatting. However, make sure you indicate in the subject line and/or in the body of the email that you are writing in application of the specific position, with the cover letter and resume attached. I personally won't open an attachment that does not indicate it's a job applicant - way too much spam/viruses out there.

Re: Emailing resume
The cover letter and resume as one attachment. That is, unless specified otherwise.

Re: Emailing resume
Gee whiz, I seem to be in the minority here, but I've always made it the body of the email.
In addition, I would attach it as well.

Re: Emailing resume
I usually put it as an attachment AND in the body of the email. I figured that if they didn't have time to read the attachement, at least they would see my resume at first glance.
