emotional beginning to my day
well i was driving east on the southern state by courts in Islip and then all of a sudden I saw a dog on the side of the rode... obviously hit by a car.... and i just lost it.... it was a large dog clearly had a collar on too.... i frantacially tried to call everyone i could think of... animal control, police.... but the only one who get through was the islip shelter.... the woman thought i was nuts.... i was hysterical tellling her there was a dog there.... and she thought i hit dog... i just kept saying no..... i dont know if it's dead but i'd hate to think someone's out there looking for their dog and it's laying on the side of the parkway... in the rain in the morning..... i was a mess.... then i told her that i was sorry but i am pregnant.... then she goes ohhhhhh okay..... we;ll get someone out there right away.... i felt soooo bad for this poor doggie... .. what ever a-hole who hit it didnt even stop..... that makes me sooo mad..... i looked on my way home and it wasnt there.... hopefully the shelter picked it up then contacted the owners.....

A similar thing happened to me on the SS months ago (before I was PG) and I was a wreck. NO ONE is available until 9 am. I called the state troopers, the cops, the animal shelter. They also transferred me to Islip shelter & the guy was like - Lindenhurst is not our problem & hung up. I was flipping.
I cannot imagine how I'd react now
Good for you for calling though. I am sure they got someone down there.

Thats so sad- I saw one in the same spot yesterday, but it wasnt hit. It was just walking around. It looked like a boxer or Pit, i was going to fast and i was in the middle lane so i couldnt stop. It really breaks my heart to see deserted animals on the parkways.

it looked like a pit bull to me.... i get so sad over things lile this... i LOVE animals.... maybe too much.... i was too emotional... but hey i am preggo's can't help it!!
