Empire pass?
Do you have one?
Do you think it paid for itself?
Which park do you go to most and why?
TIA!!

Re: Empire pass?
Yes, we have one. While we didn't go tooo often this summer, we also use it during the year so yes, eventually it pays off.
We use it for RM, mostly, then Hekscher, then Sunken Meadow. Yesterday, we used it for Jones Beach. But it also gets us into Bayard Arboretum and Caumsett, which we like to walk around in the fall and spring.

Re: Empire pass?
We have one. It's going to work out even for us. Parking at the various parks costs $8, and the Empire Pass costs $60 I think, so you'd have to use it 8 times or more for it to be cost effective.
VERY IMPORTANT: Whatever day you buy it, it's only good till March 31, 2009. So it's probably not worth it to buy it until next April 1.

Re: Empire pass?
I don't have one this year but I have in the past. For me it did pay for itself, I spend a lot of time hiking.
I am Upstate so I go to different parks, mostly in the Adirondacks and a few in the Catskills.

Re: Empire pass?
I get the Empire Pass every year. I primarily use it to go to Robert Moses, and the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. It definitely pays for itself- I go every day in the summer. It's paid for after 2 weeks.

Re: Empire pass?
I had one years ago and used it to go to Jones Beach and Orient Park/Montauk. I think back then it paid for itself.
