empire today floors
I was just curious if anyone has used them for wood floors and what your experiences were with them. TIA

We did! We had real wood floors installed in the living and dining rooms. Our house is very old and the floors are really uneven, so it was quite a big job, but they levelled everything as they installed the flooring. Our rooms are small (12x12 and 13x13) and it cost $3,500, which might be high, but Home Depot weren't willing to do the work. They arrived at 9 AM on the morning we were moving in (as arranged) and finished at 6 PM. They did a fantastic job and we're really happy with the finished product.

Empire is designed for those who need work next day. IMO if you don't need your house flooring in one day, then it is not worth the extra money that you will pay.
I'd check out other places.

We used Empire for carpeting and when they gave the estimate, I said no, because it was higher then we had planned for. The guy asked what I wanted to pay, I told him $500 less then his quote and he agreed to it, So I think they are negotiable!
ETA: We were getting 4 rooms carpeted.

We had them do our downstairs - living room, dining room, and hallway. They did a fantastic job! The floors look awesome, love the color, quality, and finish work (they put up all new moldings). It took them a day and a 1/2, because our floor had cracks and was uneven and they repaired it first. I can't believe they got it all done the next day (it took 4 guys). It was a bit pricey, but in our opinion - so worth it.

can anyone reccomend someone cheaper that will install? We really don't need them installed the next day just someone to do it. My dad knows how but he is exhausted after redoing my moms house when we got married last year.

Empire came in exactly with the same quote as another company that we had come in and I loved the next day option!!
