End of School Year Celebrations
Do you celebrate the end of the school year in any way? Not a big graduation year just a regular year.
Jack is finishing 1st grade tomorrow. I am thinking along the lines of dinner at Friendlys to celebrate. Its his favorite "real restaurant".

Yes - if the grades are good and they are promoted we have a "Summer Fun" celebration which is basically just 2 or 3 of their closest friends, a slip and slide and a mini bbq!
ETA: 2-3 friends each and some family/friends too. No clowns, supervised activities, etc..
One of Robbie's friends is sleeping over.

Re: End of School Year Celebrations
We'll do a camp out this weekend in the backyard.
Tents, firepit, s'mores & lots of wipes.
There is also a fair by me that has fireworks, etc so that's sort of the summer kickoff.

Re: End of School Year Celebrations
We went to the Lobster Fest at Sunken Meadow with friends last night to celebrate. My kids were the only kids in the group... the rest of us are exhausted teachers!! My kids had a ball and we are going to make it an "End of the Year Celebration" tradition!

Usually we do Friendly on the last day of school and depending on the report card he also gets a new video game and book.

Re: End of School Year Celebrations
I just remembered that in addition to our usual little self contained celebration, my bf has a huge pig roast after school's out (she's a teacher). That kind of signifies the start of summer for us too!
And it's TOMORROW! Yay!
