ended up in the ER yesterday

everything is FINE! turns out i have pregnancy related verdigo... which just means i get really really dizzy.... sun-mon it was HORRIBLE! i coulnt even walk by myself! DH had to help me everywhere lol

so i called in sick to work yesterday.. spent the morning throwing up and laying down... went in to see my OB (i couldnt even drive myself) he sent me right to the ER b/c he wasnt 100% positive of what it was

after 5 hours, iv fluids and some meds, turns out its just verdigo... and my OB thinks that i may be experiencing a wonderful encore of morning sickness 10x worse than i had it

the baby is fine! he/she wasnt effected at all by anything! AND my OB is the BEST! he came to see me in the hospital and i got to meet some nurses/doctors from his team who will be there the day i deliver

im home today and possibly tomorrow too.... feeling better, still a tad dizzy -- but hopefully this will pass soon!

if anyone else has expereinced this, i would love some feedback!

I've been diagnosed with vertigo before, just not while I'm pregnant. I will tell you, great docs, because it is very hard to diagnose. People might not think so, but it really is! Feel better and rest! Also, drink lots of fluids, especially gatorade, the electrolytes will help! It's totally fine when your preggers!

I had a very similar experience Sun/Mon. I've had terrible morning sickness so far (I'm 14 weeks) and Sunday it was so bad that all I could keep down was a bagel. Monday morning I woke up extremely dizzy, got ready for work, and felt like I was passing out on the bus ride in to NYC. When I got on the subway, I nearly passed out from the dizziness. I made it to work, threw up and then forced myself to eat some oatmeal & drink a Powerade but ended up going home and resting.

It was soooo scary! I called my Dr. and they told me that food only sits in your stomach for an hour so it's very important to snack all day and keep the dizziness at bay. They also gave me Zofran for naseau but I'm trying not to take it if I can help it. At least I have it for emergencies.

Hope your feeling better, the snacking has helped me so far.

Edit: They also told me to drink Pedialite! The frozen pops don't taste as bad and its better than Gatorade/Powerade and has less sugar.
