enfamil lipil with iron

my 2 week old daughter seems very constipated on this formula. the ped. told us to put prune juice in her bottle and give her rectal stimulation 2x a day but i don't think thats helping. anyone elses baby get constipated on this formula? If so, what did you switch to? i might call the ped and ask him if i can switch.

YES!!!

Cailen's ped. told me that he preferred Enfamil over Similac - I had some cans and powder of Enfamil, so he told me to give it a try....

Well, for the 2-3 days I put Cailen on it, he was so fussy, squirmy, and seemed to be in pain. He also didn't poop, and although the dr. didn't think he was technically constipated, he told me to go back to the Similac if I felt it wasn't working for him... He was sooo much better on the Similac.

ETA - Cailen was given Similac Advance in the hospital and was doing great with it - since I'm not BFing we continued with it at home... This is the formula we have stuck with except for the 3 days with the Enfamil - I find it works great for him. I switch it up with Similac organic every now and then just beceause I like the idea of him getting something organic at this point...

this made my dd so gassy..i had a sample of similac advance w soy formula..she has been much better on that..once i am through with the last container im going to try her on the other similac that i have thats not soy (should be the same one that she had at the hospital as well) to see how she does on that only bc the poop from the soy is ewww lol but if its the only thing that works then i will go back to it.
