Engagement gift question....

My brother is soon to be engaged (I CAN'T BELIEVE IT Chat Icon) and DH and I were discussing a gift for them and we decided on money...

How much would you give them as a gift?

Wow! That is awesome. Congrats to him! Is he going to have an eparty? I would wait for that to give a gift. Money is always the best. I always say give what you can afford.

Re: Engagement gift question....

Depends on if they are having a party & what type of party....fancier party I would go upto $200 for my brother.

If they are not having a party or having a simpler one....I might give a LITTLE less.

Re: Engagement gift question....

Hmmmmm I didn't even think of an e-party because we didn't have one. I don't think they would because she has no family here and they're saving to buy a house and also for the wedding.

My brother has always been so generous with me so I don't want to feel like I'm skimping. I think 100 is too little, so maybe we'll just do 200. But shorty a gift with some $ is a good idea too! Oh what to do!

Anyways I'm so excited! I went with him to pick out the ring this weekend. It's so surreal!

Yay! So excited for your bro and your entire family. Such a good guy - so happy to hear this great news!!!

I think I would give anywhere from $250 to $500 for an engagement gift. If I could swing it.
