We're having the christening party for DS in a few weeks and we have several little ones attending ---

Two are 8yrs, One is 6yrs, 4-5 toddlers and then DS is the youngest (4 mos)....

We had planned on having a face painter/balloon artist but the person we had in mind is out of state for the month. Chat Icon Poor planning on my part --

Can you recommend activities/entertainment that's fairly affordable, available this late in the game (party is 3/14) and could accommodate this age-range? Or should I just get some activity books, crayons, etc. from AC Moore and set up a little station for them? I'm worried that wouldn't satisfy the 6 or 8 year old.

I've asked DH about this, and he thinks I'm making a big deal out of nothing and that parents should expect to entertain their own kids while they're at a party.
