EpiPen
Where or how do you dispose of your EpiPen when it is expired?? There is a Walgreens in Northport/East Northport that takes them, but does anyone know of any other places?

i would either bring it back to the Dr you get the prescription from or your local pharmacy should dispose of it for you... plus you can get your new prescription filled while your there!

Yes, I am thinking of bringing it to the Dr. that gave me the prescription. The Walgreens that I use, does not take them, that is why they told me the one in Northport\E. Northport takes them. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any other places that would take them. Thank you.

Put it in an empty laundry detergent bottle. Put the cap back on and tape it shut. Write on the bottle - MEDICAL WASTE and call your local hospital's housekeeping department. Most will take used needles. I know Good sam in West islip does as that is where we bring ours.
Good Sam will only take them if you put them in the laundry bottle.
