Re: ER tonight.. not really spoilers.. nevermind.. SPOILERS
I felt the same way - I was a junior in HS when it first came on - never had a BF, and now it's ending with me watching with my DH and on the way! My DH kept saying "what happened? nothing big happened!" and I said I guess they just wanted to end it on a sentimental note. Enough action happened over the years. I thought the part with Dr.Green's daughter was a nice touch.

I was a bit dissapointed in the final episode.
I feel like we have no closure at all with any of he doctors or the patients.
IE., what happened to the girl with the alcohol poisioning? did anyone tell the family of the mom that died, that she died? And what happened to the woman with the heart transplant? or her daughter?
And why was Rori Gilmore in the last stinkin' episode??
Overall, I was not a fan.

I am so happy I am not the only one who found it didnt live up to my expectations! I was so disappointed. I got the symbolism of a lot of it and that was sweet BUT they didnt tie a lot up as someone else said. So much focus on other story lines and then they just leave it like that?!?! I mean I didnt even understand some of the patients reasons for being there. The elderly lady, Beverly, what was the point of her entire story???
I was prepared to cry...it sounds depressing but I was ready for it. I feel like it could have been more retrospective in a way. In my opinion, the first hour with the interviews was the best part.
AND..was I the only one who is slightly annoyed at the fact that George Clooney didnt say a thing during that interview show?? You got your start on ER..and you couldnt come back for that show?? I mean, I know he came back for the other one, and I still LOVE him..but it ticked me off a little.
Ive NEVER missed an er episode, from the very beginning. My heart and soul went into this tv show as silly as it sounds..and I just felt like they owed us more last night.
The saddest part to me, was when they played the theme song in the beginning and end. No matter what though, it is over and than in itself is heartbreaking. Farewell ER.
this is pretty much exactly how i felt after watching the show too......

Well, they can't start a spin off anytime soon, since John Stamos is going to be in the Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie this fall.
I would totally wach a spin off with Dr Carter in it.

I think they did that because they were trying to mirror the pilot - ie Carter on his first day.

Does anyone know how Carter's son died? I didn't get to watch the whole thing, so I may have missed it? Or, did they not tell???
This happened quite a few seasons ago. Carter's wife, Kem, was pregnant and when she went to deliver their son was stillborn.
As for Kerri, Laura Innes was actually starting to have problems with her back by having to walk with the cane like that. So the writers had Kerri undergo surgery to fix her hip so that she would be able to walk without assistance.
Thank you!

SOOOOOOO disappointed....Did Cate get the baby? What happened with the woman with the new heart and her kid? Where was Archie fiancee? They just dropped those story lines....helloooooo???? They were the main focus of the last 4 episodes and you just drop them?? I understand being symoblic with Dr. Greene's daughter with Carter saying are you coming Dr. Greene?....and trying to mirror the first episode with the baby....playing basketball.......blah blah blah....symbolic rubbish if you ask me..LOL........ They never tell you what happened between Kem and Carter...she was there for like a second and vanished...here you husband just had a freakken kidney transplant and you can't even stick around to see how he is doing???
I wonder if they are going to have a spin off to the show where Dr. Greene's daughter is going to be a Dr in an ER.
So needless to say I think they could have done better.......
They did elude to the end on some of the stories you referenced, but not others..
Banfield did get the baby because a couple episodes ago the birth mother came back for the baby and they talked about an open adoption and they both agreed.
Archie's ending with the girlfriend was just that he "proposed" in the tent at that camp.. so I guess that was their happily ever after
I agree & didn't like how up in the air they left the story with Kem & how fast Carter magically recovered from the transplant. And the lady with the heart.. and the alcohol poisoning girl.. stinks to leave us hanging
