estradiol and progesterone medicine

The doctor has now put me on both of these medicines. My first IUI that was performed on 1/5 did not work. On Friday 1/15 I went for my second round of bloodwork after IUI and that is when the doctor called and said my hormone levels were extrememly low.

I have read up on these medicines and they seem extrememly scary and that you should not be taking while pregnant and can cause birth defects.

My question is does anyone have any experience.

it's pretty standard IF medications.

I was on Estradiol and Progesterone throughout my entire FET cycle. I know if I was to get a BFP, I'd be on both meds for a few weeks after as well.

Did it help you get pregnant through IUI.

Im kinda in a down stage where my thinking is my only hope will be IVF.

IUI didn't work for me.

But I did have a FET cycle canceled because my estrogen levels were not where they should be and my lining was not thickening up.

Progesterone is pretty standard for IUI's and IVF's.

I agree with the above. Its pretty standard meds. I am currently on both...progesterone suppositories and estrogen patches. Both hormones are needed to sustain a pregnancy in the beginning. Good Luck!
