Eternity rings
For those of you who have eternity rings...does it feel weird that the diamonds go all the way around? I think it might get banged around too much or damaged?
(DH is getting me one for my birthday, which I already picked out )

Re: Eternity rings
I love mine! I don't worry about the diamonds going all around. Although I do have to warn you that I chipped 2 diamonds since I had it and had them replaced.

Re: Eternity rings
Looooove eternity bands, but I'm buying a 1/2 eternity for myself because I'm hard on my hands.
check out these sites: some wonderful ideas there.
www.signedpieces.com (they are located in NYC if you're not comfortable w/ online buying) - click on the facets collection
www.whiteflash.com (incredible quality, but based in Houston) this is just a ton of sparklies =)

I have a ring that has diamonds that go all the way around, but I wont wear it to work, becuase I lost a diamond in it. I only wear it when I go out.

See...this is what I'm afraid of. I want to wear it everyday...I guess I will just have to be careful.

Re: Eternity rings
I have an eternity band and I have chipped one of the stones already and had to replace it. I still recommend them though. The more diamonds, the better IMO.

I have a mutual prong/shared prong setting eternity band and I wear it practically everyday for the past year and have had no problems with it at all. I love it

Re: Eternity rings
I have a channel set (helps take care of the stones popping out) eternity band. I also wanted channel set so the many prongs don't get caught on anything. I spoke to a lot of moms and they said if they had to do it all over again they would get a channel set eternity band as it's more secure and because it's smooth you run no risk of getting something caught in it (panty hose, etc.).
That being said I don't wear my ring to clean, cook dinner or do dishes. Of course, home improvements are out of the question. I do wear it to work and whenever I'm out... except trips to Home Depot.

Re: Eternity rings
Nope, but it's probably because mine is channel set. I tried on a few common prong eternity rings and I was concerned that they would get stuck on everything. I would try channel set.
