Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell secretly got married in California on Tuesday, seven years after they first began dating. "The bride wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera," Wood's rep says in a statement. "It was a small ceremony with close family and friends." Before they officially announced their union, the actress expressed her happiness on Twitter, although she didn't get into specifics. "Words cannot describe the happiness i am feeling," she wrote. "Overwhelming."

Strangely, the newlyweds were spotted the day before wearing wedding bands on their fingers as they made their way through Los Angeles International airport. Were they so excited to be married that they put the rings on before it was official?

Wood, 25, and the "Billy Elliott" actor, 26, reportedly got their marriage license on October 16 in Beverly Hills. While they waited in line, onlookers say they were holding hands and looked "excited and happy."

This is the first marriage for both, although Wood was previously engaged to Marilyn Manson until 2010. After they split, she rekindled her romance with Bell, for whom she has a "J" tattoo on her ankle. The two first met when they played lovers in Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" video.
