Ever have so much in common with someone and still...

not like them?

Was just thinking of someone I know through a friend. We like the same stores, the same styles of clothes, furniture, etc. We drive the same car. We are both pg and both of us want to be surprised. A lot of things are the same about our personal style and interests but... for some reason I don't really click with her personality.


Is this true for anyone else?

YES!

you can certainly have "things in common" but have personality differences..

thing in common can always change...personality is usually the same across the board...

personalities that mesh is what really creates good friendships

And still there are people who think that people with similar interests should be friends. More people have wondered why I am not friends with certain people and it is just because our personalities are different.

I guess sometimes it works but there has to be something more than just personal taste in things.

I also think that sometimes you can actually have too much in common with someone. I think for a group of friends to function everone brings a different "role" if you have 2 people who are too similar it almost becomes competitive, KWIM? I may not be articulatin well.

Anyways, yes I know what you mean and it has happened to me as well.

omg yes!!!! I have a person like that in my life. we got married at the same time, babies at the same time, live near each other and still kinda clash personality wise nothing specific its just that we are different and have different attitudes and sense of humor.
