I cannot start my day at 3am. I need advice. Is he teething, probably, but this is more of a habit now.
I caved this weekend and brought him into my bed--- I KNOW I KNOW the cardinal sin.
I need sleep. Please help me.

at 10 mons Mason was getting his two front teeth and it was a nightmare. He was waking in the middle of the night a few times. DH and I took turns sitting in his room. When his teeth FINALLY broke through he was still up in the middle of the night Ped gave us advise. She said he's training us. He cries and we come in. We rock him to sleep then put him in the crib he'll get up confused b/c he's not in the same place he fell asleep. WE had to make him CIO. THat day I went out and got a sound machine that projects some pics on the wall. Played in all night and let him CIO for 40 mins on and off till he finally went down. 2nd night only 25 mins and he finally STTN
Hopefully this will be a short phase

We went through this at 11 months. DS, my perfect sleeper, was waking 2-3 times per night and staying up for 1-2 hours. We were so exhausted, we has no idea what was going on and were trying everything. We even brought DS into our bed but he thought it was playtime .
Finally after 3 weeks we agreed we couldn't go on this way and mutually agreed to cio for the 1st time, we'd had no sleep problems before.
So, bc DS would sometimes trip over his sleep sack in the crib, especially if he was upset during these middle of the night wake-ups, we decided to be safe and not put him in the sleep sack the night we decided to cio. DH and i mentally prepared to cio at bedtime and each wake-up. So we put him in the crib with no sleep sack and went downstairs. There was virtually no crying, just some whining and 14 minutes later, silence. He was asleep and went on to sttn again after 3 weeks of hel l IT WAS THE SLEEP SACK!!! He's 13 months now and we haven't had any issues since we got rid of his sleep sack. Crazy huh? but you never know, it could be anything bothering them and keeping them from sleeping well.

We went through this too & since I was still pregnant with #2, I caved & brought DS into bed with us. He was teething & I just could not comfort him any other way. Once he was in our bed, he would thrash around for sometime & then fall asleep until 6:30ihs.
This went on & off for about 2 months & then we did an intense CIO & it stopped. Now DS has been sleeping in his crib exclusively unless he wakes when he is sick

I *think* I remember Logan going through that too.
How long have you let him CIO?
I'm remember DH and I rocking him back to sleep for a while, then finally going to CIO - it would take 45 minutes sometimes.

We went through that around 10 1/2-11 months.I tried in the beginning rocking her back to sleep, but everytime I put her down she was wide awake. So, we would take her in our bed and she would pass out. I won't let her CIO. Just not me. She's fine now..back to STTN.

Happened to us too around that time. CIO was the only thing that worked. We were successful with CIO months earlier and had to re-do it.
