EVERYTHING HURTS
man, i'm old!!
i'm on week 4 of an eight-week half marathon training plan. after the marathon (in november), i just didn't feel like doing anything... this winter didn't help.
i paid/registered for the lincoln memorial half marathon, last year and there was no way of getting my money back lol... so i had to start training or throw away that money.
my first run out, i ran a VERY PATHETIC 15:32 minute mile... i give you permission to laugh.
thank GOD my son is running with me. having the commitment with him has forced me outdoors on days i'd rather stay inside and eat.
i am happy to say that last night's run was better... not good, but better. i ran an average of 14:09 per mile. the thing is that EVERYTHING HURTS lol
oh my goodness!!! my hips hurt, my knees hurt, my feet hurt. I'M FALLING APART. all i want to do is nap.
remind me why on earth i thought this was fun

ps. i have another 3.5 miles to run, tonight. i do not want to have anything to do with myself, tomorrow

It will get better!
I never thought i could run and enjoy it. Always said i would never be a runner and look now, 7 weeks into the c25k plan, i rant 2.75 miles last night in 34 mins!!! Never in my life has that happened, and i ACTUALLY liked it!!!
Hang in there, it will only be a little longer and the weather will make it easier when it starts to get nice out!
