Excuse me but do you have a lighter or matches??
Again another reason why I hate Riverhead!!
I went to get Emma who was at my moms for a few hours tonight. She was asleep (9pm) so I brought Jeremy into the house and went back out to get the sleeping little girl. I get out to my car (I park on the street) and as soon as I get to the car a man on a bike turns the corner. I watch him the whole time to make sure he doesn't do anything weird. I leave Emma in the locked car but all I could think about is Jeremy inside alone, front door unlocked and Emma in the car asleep with me 5 months pregnant in the dark with a strange man on a bike riding SLOWLY toward my car... I have my hand on my car door. I was planning my escape to the backyard where my dogs are when he stops in front of my car and says "Excuse me but do you have a lighter or matches" I say "no, sorry" and he says ok and rides off.
It may not seem that extreme but my heart was definitely going!!!

This is EXACTLY why I do not like going out alone at night. This kind of stuff freaks me out so badly now that I have a baby. If it was just me and I could run without hesitating, then I'd be fine. But with a baby (let alone two kids and being prego!), it just freaks me out.

Uggh- I can't stand that. Something like that happened as I was about to get out of the car in front of Michaels in Riverhead. I saw this guy walking up to my car and so I I locked my doors. He told me to roll down the windows- I was like heck no! He then started to explain to me that he got out of jail 2 days ago, is living in a shelter, and won't be receiving his food stamps for another 3 days- all he had was bagels to eat and he wanted me to give him money! Yeah, don't think that's happening! I waited till he croseed the street then went in and told the manager at Michaels.
