experienced teacher offering childcare services

Posting this for my sister Sheri, she has worked with children for 15 years (including special needs children while working at Heartshare) and was a teacher in Queens for the past 8 years but sadly was laid off over the summer. She has a Masters in Early Elementary education, certified by NYS (Kindergarten through 6th), certified in First Aid & CPR. She is willing to drop off/pick up your child/children from school as well (she lives in Levittown).

She has two daughters- a 6 year old and a 2 year old who is home during the day, it's a clean non-smoking household. She loves teaching and misses it but this is also the first time she's been able to enjoy staying home with her kids.....however they really could use a 2nd income in their household.

Let me know if you have any questions. Chat Icon

Re: experienced teacher offering childcare services

she wasn't working for the Board of Ed or a public school system, so no worries!!! if you're tenured, you're good Chat Icon (well as long as Cathy Black doesn't have a say about it, but that's a whole other story lol)

Phew, thanks for the reassurance. I have been on childcare leave for years now, so I don't really keep track of what's happening there, but I plan to return to city soon.
