Expiration date and yogurt?

Does it really expire on the day listed on it. It says May 6th yet it still smells and looks normal.

one or two days I think you are OK - anything over that, I would toss it.

In my mind, Yogurt is already curdled milk, so I don't go so much by expiration dates. I wouldn't feed it to my child, but I would still eat it.

I never read the date on my yogurt.

it really doesnt expire - but i work with food scientists and basically i was advised that you shouldnt go too far past the expiration date - so i usually toss mine if its a month past expiration.

My Dad always used to say "the yogurt doesn't know what the date is" which is so true....I think you are fine going a few days past the expired date. Go by the look and the smell.

I read somewhere fairly recently that yogurt is good for 7 days after the date as long as it is kept refrigerated
