Exposed to the dreaded stomach bug yesterday

Someone I work with came in with the stomach bug yesterday. I was with him from 11-4 but never very close to him. He did use the telephone which I sanitized when he walked away and then I had to use it. That was what drove me into a panic attack but here I am 28 hours later....please tell me I'll be fine. I have an interview tomorrow and Disney on Ice Saturday

You're probably exposed to the stomach bug more than that in your every day routines! I think you'll be fine!

Ok here is the thing.

I am sure you are very careful about touching yoru mouth and sanitizing your hands/washing your hands before eating, right? I would think you are.

So on that note, odds are you won't catch his stomach bug b/c stomach bugs are spread by fecal/oral contamination, which means he would have had to have feces (with virus in it) on his hand, then you would have had to touch something he got the virus on and then put your fingers in your mouth to give the virus access into your body.

I am sure you are careful and a handwasher (as I am) and so you probably kept yourself safe that way. If he even had feces/virus on his hands that is anyway.

I'm sure you will be fine! Like the PP said, it's spread by fecal-oral. It's not spread in the air. I am just like you though, I panic if I think I have been exposed.

BTW, why was he at work if he was sick with it? I mean wasn't he like running to the bathroom? The times I've had that, there was NO WAY i could have come into work.

So far still good so looks like I'm able to make it to the interview. Now I need healthy vibes for Disney on Ice tomorrow
