Eyebrow threading FAIL
I had a terrible experience getting my eyebrows threaded today-- I have been going to the same shop on and off for several years- I left in tears with the worst looking eye brows I have ever had- the shape is not even the same on both- the owner apologized and had his best girl fix them them best she could but I am so upset- any recommendations for a good eyebrow pencil or filler? I am going to Sephora tomorrow- hopefully one of the ladies there can show me the best way to fill in my brows until they grow in.

I would try to go to a Benefit Brow bar - they are usually in Sephora Ulta and Macy's.
They have a brow pencil brush combo, they will also show you how to apply it and get the perfect arch & shape!
Also, there are a TON of tutorials on Pinterest too that may help you :)

Definitely head to your nearest Benefit brow Bar.
I have Gimme Brow and its awesome, but it wont work to shape your eyebrows. You cant draw or fill in with it like a pencil. It clings to the existing hairs like mascara to make them look fuller.

Simmi or the lead threader. I started going to the lead girl last 2 times because Simms was out on medical leave or something (they emailed me lol). It's expensive but worth it

Re: Eyebrow threading FAIL
Ugh, that's the worst but it will be better in no time!
I also use a MAC eyeshadow to fill in my brows. I have really dark hair brown hair and the eyebrow fillers in brown always left me with a reddish tint that didn't match. I use Night Maneuvers from MAC with an angled eyebrow brush and then a quick swipe of Gimme Brow to have them all mesh. I have tried so many but always go back to this shadow. For me personally, the pencils always looked too hash on my brows but I could have just been doing it wrong

Thanks! At this point whatever it costs is worth it- I never want to experience what I went through yesterday again- my left brow is so f-ed up my mom suggested I cut my hair to get bangs to cover it.

Re: Eyebrow threading FAIL
Omg
They are wonderful. They hand u a mirror and analyze your face and tell u exactly what they are going to do. They have tons of training alllll the time! It's not like other places where u get your license and they just give u clients. Place is legit

I just went to a place in Queens (I work at JFK) that my coworker took me to. This woman is AMAZING! She made my eyebrows look great. I could get the info if you want it. It is on Lefferts Blvd in Queens. It was $5!

I know this sounds nuts, but someone I know had botched eyebrows. She put rogaine on them and they grew super quickly. Not sure you want to make this investment, but if your mother is suggesting a haircut it must be bad :( Also, not sure where you live on LI, but if you want to go local, Sara at DiRosa hair salon in Franklin Square does the best brows. Ive been to Shobba and another high end place in NYC and still like the way Sara does them. She is only in on Friday and Saturdays and there is always a wait, but she is worth it. $12

Re: Eyebrow threading FAIL
The Anastasia Brow Wiz pencils are great. They are very thin & softer than most eyebrow pencils. I use ash blond & medium ash together ( when I am really trying) to make it look more natural. If you have a lot of gaps, a combination of powder & pencil will probably work best. You can buy eyebrow powders or use eye shadow. Just make sure they don't have a reddish undertone. I use Mac Brun, Omega or Charcoal Brown (I bleach my eyebrows, so they aren't always the same color.)
Anastasia also sell stencils, which will help you fill in & even the sides out.
