Eyeliner pencils (only) - please recommend the brand you use *update - thanks everyone, got what I was looking for*
I LOVE my MAC kohl pencil eyeliner, but I want to buy a different color, just basic brown (I use Teddy currently) and they don't have a dark brown in the kohl version.
the thing I love most about the MAC eyeliner is that it glides on SO smoothly, no effort is required - no tugging or pulling on the skin.
I have tried Prestige on a recommendation from here, but IMO, it does not compare to MAC.
if you know of a brand that is just as good, please recommend it. thanks!
update: I went to the MAC store today and tried the powerpoint eyeliner - love it! glides just as well as the kohl. thanks everyone for your input!!

I haven't found any as good as Mac either...I use Teddy as well
I just purchased a few new (for me) colors...Coste Riche which is a rich coffee bean brown, and Powersurge which is described as a bronzed-brown with golden shimmer, and Phone Number which is a smudgy charcoal
I figured with the sale, why not?

im a makeup gal, i have worked w make up and my FAVORITE liner is actually ULTA brand. it goes on really smooth and it doesnt smudge/run. worth a try.. i think its only like $8!!

I figured with the sale, why not?
those 2 shades appear to be lighter brown than Teddy (I just looked on the MAC website).
a co-worker of mine uses the 'powerpoint' waterproof version from MAC and loves it. I am thinking of giving 'stubborn brown' a try. like you said, with the 25% off sale, why not.
everytime I try a new brand, I come right back to MAC.

i swear by my maybelline define-a-line eyeliner - i only use dark brown and this is the darkest i've found. it also smudges really well when you want it to (pencil comes with a smudger attached as well as a sharpener).

Which Prestige one did you try? I just bought the waterproof pencil (not automatic) & I was impressed how smoothly it went on * how it didn't smudge, but I've never tried MAC, so I can't compare.
I had given up on pencils & was only using liquid, but it takes me too long to do every day. Prestige also had several shades of brown.

I swear by Chanel kohl eyeliner. I used to wear eyeliner every single day so I've tried every brand out there!

I use Stila.
Have you tried the other Mac eyeliners? I also like their powerpoint pencil.
