Eyesight changing

About a week ago I started realizing that I was no longer able to see through my contacts. I figured it was just time to put in a new pair, but I put in a new pair today and I am still not seeing properly. Then I just read that your eyesight can change due to pregnancy.

Has anyone heard of this before? Is it going to keep changing throughout the pregnancy? I don't want to go to the dr now and get a new prescription if in a month it's going to change again?

Re: Eyesight changing

I have not heard of this...but, is it blurry vision you're experiencing? I know they always ask me if I have any blurred vision whenever I go to the doctor...

Re: Eyesight changing

Yes, my eyesight has changed dramatically also - i spoke with my eye doctor and he told me that he doesn't see his eye patients when they are pregnant because their eye sight can be affected during their pregnancy and this symptom is perfectly normal so don't worry!

I feel like i can't read signs at a distance or recognize people from afar like I used too - but doctors say it goes back to normal after your pregnancy and not to worry Chat Icon

Re: Eyesight changing

I had the same thing except I developed a stigmatism after Emma was born. Not a severe one but I got one. My contacts would be blurry. Go see an eye doc and he/she can tell you exactly whats going on. No need to suffer being blurry.
